The Waikato Kayak Club is based in Te Awamutu / Hamilton and has an active, enthusiastic membership. Our main interest is whitewater kayaking but we have members who enjoy most canoe and kayak disciplines.
Trips are organised most weekends throughout the Spring and Summer, and some of the keener members are active right through the colder months too. New members are always welcome. Get your membership form from here ---> Membership Form.
Ever been caught in the hole at the bottom of Devils Elbow??? Greg fights the hole for 40 seconds and comes out the winner!!!
Tony's first descent down the top section of the Wairoa..... While Tony did really well, only having one swim at the bottom of the coaster, Greg got a 40sec long spanking in the hole at the bottom of Devils Elbow, which I'm sure will feature on the next DVD ;o)

The Wairoa has started up, and already there has been plenty of carnage to talk about, congratulations to Drew for gaining this years title of the most swims on the wairoa in 1 day. Joss currenly holds the title for the longest beating on any part of the river, about 20secs on the bottom waterfall, and Terry has the record for fastest panic roll in Mothers Nightmare. Here is Terrys record holding panic roll..... enjoy.
Zane wanted to see what happened to him on this waterfall, so instead of showing just Zane, I thought it would be better to just post it up on our main page so everyone could see it and have bit of a laugh, watch how Zane manages to get the throw rope tangled around his neck....
